Just like the title says...I was thinking Centerforce Dual Friction...

The 3650 tranny in the 01+'s (some of them in 01's anyways) need a different spline clutch right? Does CF make them for the 3650?

Any other suggestions for a nice daily driven clutch that will hold the power?

Thanks:nice:

well i have one right now in my car (n/a - soon to be novi 2000 blown in a couple weeks) & it's been in there for about a month with no problems at all. i like it alot. as far as power i talked to a guy i know & he told me had one in his & it did great till he had about 600 to the tires. so i guess it all depends on your HP level ;)

A Spec Stage 3 is to unstreetable for what I like and the owner of this 02 Gt has. They are to on/offish. A spec stage 2 would be a better choice for a blower only car...under 400rwhp.

stangman - Thanks, you got a part number...is it the dual friction?

yeah it's dual friction, as far as a part number i don't have one, but i could call & get it for ya if ya need it

stangman - That would be great but don't feel obligated...I just know since you have had one...that you might know:)

So does everyone think the DF will be a good street clutch. I know it can hold the power for sure and the price is around $350 for these I believe...

ive heard a lot of bad things about spec. its either a hit or miss. my buddys 95 cobra was a miss and it sucks. find out if mcleod makes one for a 3650, if so i would deffinetly recommend

Another Vote for spec
I have a Spec II for a little more then a year and no problems

People have problems with clutches because they are not installed correct and or do not break them in

When replacing your clutch turning your fly wheel is a must
Bolting the clutch up correct is a must
And recommended by spec a 500 mile break in is a must

The issue i have heard most about spec is the TOB
Which when i bought it was made out of plastic, which people complained about being noisy.
All i did was by a oem from ford, which is all metal and havent had any noise or problems
