Its not a question, its a statement. If I woulda known better I woulda got the SS version and had it coated myself. Just warning people.

I love the sound, but new and improved coating is a fat lie.

*EDIT* I wash my car underside and topside minimum 1x a week.

i painted my Mac prochamber with 1500F header paint, and let it burn it bit. almost no rust(little on weld) 1.5years later..

Ive got some 2000F grill paint that i got from lowes, ive been wondering if that will work or not, but there is kinda already a coating on them. I bought them used and they kinda have a crussty chalky coating on them. Should i try to sand that stuff off or just paint over it??

i would. but header pain is ceramic based paint. like that of brake caliper paint. donno is grill pain is or not tho

MAC = CRAP they are usually the cheapest "mainstream" catback and usually have problems fitting... ie. my swap headers... Pipes can rust from the inside out so I dont see a coating being a "cure all." It's all in the material they are made out of... MAC add's rust to there production line :)

Ehhh, I'll agree with you that their headers are junk (at least for the OHV engines anyway) but I was quite impressed with their cat-backs and mid-pipe. I had an older system, that looked pretty much like the one above did fairly early on in it's lifetime, but 6-years later, when I sold the car, it hadn't changed a bit. Still looked like it did after the first year it was on.....and still sounded great. :nice:
