 I just bought the eibach pro kit, lowering 1.2 in the front and 1.4 in the rear. I also bought the 18x9 and 18x10 bullit chrome wheels. I am trying to decide how big the tires should be. I am concerned about problems with rubbing and if the tires will fit under the wheel well. I can't find any info anywhere on this. Any help would be appreciated

Why in the world would you put those sizes on an '05?!
They're smaller than the stock tires!!

Go with what matto1975 said. That's assuming you don't want to rotate your tires. If you do, go with the 255/45/18's on all 4 corners.

295/45/18's fit on 10" wheels in the back and up to 275/40/18's in the front on 9" wheels. Some are looking at 19x11 and 305's in the rear.

Personally, I wouldn't use either of those sizes. The diameter of the rears is WAY too big and the front's too small.

When choosing tires, first decide what size wheels they'll be going on. (i.e. 17's, 18's or 19's) Then decide how wide you'd like them to be. Then everything else is decided for you.

Your goal is to get as close to a 27.2" tire diameter as possible so you don't have to recalibrate your speedometer, odometer, and tripometer. And you don't want to increase your wheel well gap.

Here are the correct tire sizes if you're putting 18's on a new Mustang.
255/45/18
265/45/18
285/40/18
295/40/18

That's it if you want to lower the car. So all you have to do, since you know you want 18's, is choose how wide you want. If you get the right offset on the wheels, all those sizes will fit.

I was actually thinking about 285/40/18 and 255/45/18......will that fit under the wheel wells with it lowered?

That's what I'm running. Only difference is I have 18x8 front and 18x9.5 rear wheels. Mine is lowered 1.25" and no probs.

They will only fit the '05-'06 wheels made by Ford. They won't fit any of the aftermarket Bullitts without some modification.
However, the '04 center caps will fit the aftermarket wheels.

SportLine or Progress Rate

Want to only go Plus 1 or Plus 2 on the tire size. Have always used Progressive rate on past Stangs. Anyone know what is better on our new 05's. Have Coupe, mainly road course driving. Like the Slammed Look, but wondering about Drivablilty.

Any thoughts.

I've been away for a long time, so I'm just now getting my feet wet again, in peersonalizing my new ride.

Thanks
