I just bought a new Autometer triple pillar ( #12101 ) to replace the dual pillar in my car. I noticed that the triple pillar has a small dimple in the middle near the top of the middle guage pod. I did a search and looked at some pics on here, and I think they all have it, but it's hard to tell. Does anyone else have this dimple in their pillar? It looks like its in about the same spot as the middle screw on the factory pillar. Any pics would be appreciated.

Cool, thanks.

I installed the guages myself. The pillar installs over top of the stock piece using the supplied plastic pushpins. You have to drill small holes in both pillars, and you will need to make a fairly large hole in the stock pillar so you can run your wire , etc. through it

Apples to oranges a little (the fox vert only has a dual pod), but on the 94Gt, I used the pillar pod in lieu of the stock pillar. I have one screw affixing the pod (it goes through metal in the actual A pillar). And since the bottom is an interferance fit and the weather stripping goes over the pod, it holds just fine IMHO.

Good luck.

I did put my screw through metal as well. Just make sure its not too long.:notnice:
Well, if you dont put the screw all the way through to the outside of the car, where do you put the nut? :D

Please folks, DON'T do this (I can envision the PM now. "You said.....")
