Anyway I use Nitrous. Why, initial install was cheap....though I did end up spending more on goodies than planned. I don't have the need for constant boost other than the track as NA is enough for me on the street. I won't see enough refills to add up to a novi or turbo for a few years as I don't go to the track every weekend.

Turbo. :D Lower gear ratio, milder cam, milder heads and intake, smaller carb. 15 mpg with 1200rwhp is not unheard of at all. And for those of use that run c-4's, the gears is the real kicker. Tons of top end in a race...the list goes on and on.

For ultimate power, Turbo is where it's at. Turbo is freer power, no power robbing to run the supercharger.
I've run nitrous before, it is fast & fun. I now have a supercharger on the 94 Cobra & I like it better. If funds were avalible I would have a turbo instead of teh supercharger.

i would use a blower when the time comes. instant boost when you want it. turbo's make the most power overall, BUT the power isnt free as some people believe. you do have increased backpressure especially under boost thta does cost some power, granted not as much as the drive system on a blower does though. as for nitrous, no i wont use it.

I'm curious I see a few people that either "won't use nitrous" or "nitrous breaks parts to easy". I'm not trying to start anything here but why will you not use it or why do you think nitrous breaks parts easier? I mean if you take the RIGHT saftey precautions I think nitrous is just as safe as a blower or turbo if done RIGHT.

I mean down the road if somebody comes out with a turbo kit (read I'm to lazy to fab up something like 10secgoal :D ) I'm all for it but will probably end up with a blower but I see nothing wrong with nitrous for the entry level power adder fan.

steel you are 100% right, ive allready put about 4 bottles through my little 302 on a STOCK bottem end, yes its JUST a 100 shot, but i took all the NECCASERY things and made sure they were working, from the window switch to the WOT switch all the way down to making sure the MSD retard box was doing its job, Im also utilizing 2 fuel pressure safety switches, nitrous DOES NOT kill motors, bad prep and a lack of understanding does. all these turbo guys i bet arent on stock pistons  bang for the buck goes to nitrous hands down

When homo jim in his honda civic puts a 150 shot with no tuning and no upgraded ignition or fuel parts THAT is what causes a nitrous failure, or a lack of fuel. You can be low on nitrous, it is better to be nitrous lean then fuel lean. HP in the end is HP any way you look at it, all these power adders do the same thing, INCREASE HP which INCREASES the amout of stress on the motor, i will say that nitrous would theroreticly put more of an instant strain due to the jolt from the hit, however there are progressive timers to get rid of that if your scared ;)

There was an outlaw 10.5 car at Huntville last year that had two displacement replacement items. They were 88mm each and I believe he set low et of the weekend against many big blocks with power adders as well.
