Wheel & Tire Combos - list yours here:

Sal - Your car looks really nice man!!!

Remember me from the ffcobra forum? :D

Anyways - I'm going to take a look at these Mach1 wheels I have and see if I can mill off some on the backside. I already own the wheels and am not using them on the FFR Cobra so I might as well see if I can make them work on the 2005.

Thanks for the idea!

Sal, that's the CDC agressive spoiler, isn't it? Do you have problems with speed bumps? I have one I'm going to install soon and I've lowered my car 1.25" - I want to be able to get in & out of my apt complex and parking garage at work lol.

If you're really worried go for the Classic Chin Spoiler instead of the agressive one. It's a little more subtle but it still looks sexy as hell.

Those wheels look great. Something about them makes them look bigger than 18's. ??? (not trying to say they aren't 18's, just there's "something" about them)

I would replace those cobra centers with some pony centers though. (the pre-05 center caps fit perfect)

How's the fit on those FR500's. I like the look of them but wasnt sure if the offset from the 04 mustang would fit my 05 GT.

Im also looking for a good set of one piece forged aluminum wheels, lighter and stronger. Would appreciate recommendations and pics of any that have been mounted.

These are made for the '05. They have a +36mm offset so they fit just right.

The tires are Michelin Pilot PS2 in 255/35/20 up front and 285/30/20 in the rear. The diameter of the tire is virtually the same as stock...so theres no speedo issues. Some people arent fans of the 20" size, but Boyd makes them starting in 17" --> 22".

If you don't mind me asking. How much did the rims/tires cost you?

I really like the black rims with silver trim on the 05. I saw one just like yours here in Vegas, looks nice.

I bought the car used....and they were already installed. So I didnt pay a dime :p

They guy I bought it from told me he purchased the whole wheel / tire combo from Boyd.

If you click on the rim link in my sig, the prices are there. I think they run $895.00 + additional $100.00 for powder coating......so around a grand a peice for the rims give or take. Not sure how much the tires added to the package.

I have ROH Drift Rs for my '06 GT, like a few others on here. I think they are the best fitment, or as good as any I have seen for the new car. The sizes are as follows:

Front - 19x9 - 275/35-19 - 35mm offset
Rear - 19x10 - 295/35-19 - 45mm offset

I have the wheels and tires, but still waiting on my car to get here.

Here you go:

Yes, it's the aggressive version. I have scraped it a few times so far, have to be careful. BUT, my car is 2 inches lower than stock. One inch from the pro drop, and 1 inch from the shorter tires. I have a customer with that spoiler on a stock suspension and stock wheel car and it's way higher up.

Wishing for 'real' Retro Wheels

I've been hoping that someone would come out with a true retro Rally Wheel in 17" or 18".

there are a variety of fine designs from the late 60's, early 70's that could be scaled up sucessfully.

two examples:

This generation of Mustangs deserves the best!

Thanks, Sal. I can be careful, but if I'm not going to clear the speed bumps in the parking garage at work and my apt complex no matter how careful I am, it won't be a good idea for me to install it. Sounds like I'll be OK though, I'm only about an inch, maybe an inch and a quarter lower than stock in the front.

Thanks. I know, trust me, those centers are going on, just haven't had the time to buy them yet. Too busy working on the II.

Btw, these are specially made for the '05 by AFS, which is why they fit so well. They make them in all chrome too, so if you're looking for the Mach 1 style, that is the way I would go.

The mag. 500's I can deal with, but no way on the other. That wheel would in no way look good on the new design.
