So i was driving my car around and all of a sudden it just felt like it was losing cylinders, had it to the floor in 1st and it wouldent go more than 30mph and 3 grand, the exhaust smelled strongly of gas, it idles, but rough. put a timing light on it,replaced distributor rotor and cap, checked all plugs for spark, there was a gasket leak between the throttle body and the spacer, and coolant in the intake, fixed that and it still didnt help. my next bet is a sensor? but which one.. im totally lost on this one, i really need some ideas on this one :bang: :damnit:

thanks

so I'm curious how much coolant did you send throught the motor? When you pulled the plugs did any coolant come out? Coolant and spark plugs don't get along well, I found that out personally the hard way, keep me posted - Peace

no coolant in the motor that i saw, replaced the plugs, old plugs wernt to bad except the idiot didnt gap them and only put new ones in one side of the motor. and how do i "yank" the codes? and does it have a pretty good chance of being a plugged fuel injector? oh and there is no check engine lights that come on when its started

What I usualy do is take it to a local AutoZone and ask one of the sales clerks if they can read my codes. If that doesen't show something, I take it to a local shop and have a full diagnostic done (~$75). Your engine light won't always come on if theres engine trouble and the computer is throwing codes.
:flag: Good luck
