will longtube headers + o/r shorty X, accufab plenum+70mm TB, 3.73s, mgw shifter, and k&n intake get me a 103mph trap on my 02 gt?

Its hard to say Derek. If your at a SL track with a standard day, then I think its possable. But in reality with real world factors, then look for 101-102ish. We can speculate on paper all day, but your experiance and the conditions are what really determine how fast you will go. It took me 7 or so passes to get my ET, and trap was at 103 before I let it cool down. heck, my first run was a 13.7 @ 101.8...my 2nd was about the same. But as I adjusted shift points and launch RPM, both got better (obviously lol).

Oh, and just for those curious, I pulled my headlight after 4th or so run after I had 2 consecutive 103.05 trapps, and well, I pulled ANOTHER 103.05 trap :rlaugh: . SO it didnt do anything for me, but I just left it out for the rest of the night....was out on my 13.30 run, but I dont think it really did anything.

Xcessiv what are your mods?
Power mods:
- Predator
- 4.10
- MAC OR h-pipe
- ET Streets but the track conditions are baaaad (2.0ish 60 fts)

Show mods:
- Flowmasters
- MAC CAI

My 13.26 @ 104.8 was achieved in full street trim except for the slicks. I know it's hard to belive but I ran 8.4ish and 13.2ish at multiple tracks in multiple conditions. I keep hearing alot of bull****... "You have cams", "You have head work", bla bla bla. I don't think it's the case, I bought the car like this and the engine bay looks all stock.

Good luck for your 12 seconds, you have the setup for it. :nice:

WOW, thats it? If you bought it used, cams are probably in there....stg 1s are pretty hard to hear. Another possable thing is that your near sea lv and you have really high pressures giving a D.A of like -2000ft lol. NICE ETS/TRAPS non the less. Oh and where is your track located...I would like to see its alt and current weather.

The dragway is at Sanair, Quebec (near Montreal).
Elevation: 165 ft
Weather for this specific run: about 24 degrees Celcius

The car just had 4.10 and Flowmasters when I bought it. That's what makes me believe there's no cam under there. :(

Just read the famous "Maxima" thread where you called :bs: on my times. It looks like you have a hard time believing slightly modded cars can achieve great times given good conditions and driver

Anyway, I sure hope you'll see 12s and a few more mph with that much HP. All you need is good weather and traction

You trapped 105 mph with nothing more than a short shift kit and catback? Wow! :bang:

Well, I must say I've done some weight reduction. I weigh in the neighborhood of 330lbs so I had to do something to be more competitive :D

The trunk has been gutted, I removed the back / passenger seats and converted driver's seat to manual rails. Also removed A/C, heater and front swaybar. If I had to guess I'd say I removed about 125lbs total. Oh, and I always switch back to my stock 16" wheels when heading to Pont-Rouge :D
Tried it a few times on 18" and lost about 0.3s and 3mph.

Maybe we've already met at the track, I almost sleep in my car at Pont-Rouge :rlaugh:

Im sorry lol, but you have to understand where im coming from. You have 230RWHP, that trap just doesnt line up  Look what it took to get me to 104. Iv been around this game for a while and watched MANY GTs run, and those results NEVER happen around here. Heck M6 LS1s have trouble with that down here. Maybe its the canadian air  . In good weather I can kinda see excessivs ETs, but all you have is a CB...Its just hard to believe a stock GT running 13.5s lol. Maybe its typical...what do other GTs trap?

Believe me man, I live at the track. I have AT LEAST 300 runs under my belt. I really enjoy getting the most out of my setup, even if it's really basic. I've also seen countless stock GTs run and they usually do 14.0-14.2 @ 99-100 with the occasional 13.9.

For the record, I ran 8.67 @83.6 in the 1/8 on that 13.51.

Cody, its about time! ive been searching for this thread since late wed night! congrats on the new time, but i called a 13.2......throw some respect my way too! :D anyway, i think whats holding you back the most are those wheels weighing so much, and your 60'. if you run a 1.9, youre at a 13.1 right there. i thought you had some DRs you were gonna use? those things will def help you out a ton! what were your other runs like? how many all night? and i didnt think pulling your headlight wouldn really help too much anyway since you already have that nifty "custom" ram air. you really need to do some suspension next too. get a nice set of LCAs. Scalder and i would suggest some HPM Megabite JRs, and others might say Pro 3i. those are the two i would suggest as both are adjustable for street/strip. you also need to lose some unnecessary weight, like spare tire/jack, and your pass seat. those together should save you close to 70lbs. maybe when i rebuilt my tranny and get a few more power mods, i'll run my car too

Ok, now I understand. :)

I'm too far away from Quebec, I prefer Sanair or other local dragways. I'll try some weight saving and the swaybar removal next time at Napi... Next goal: 13 flat with a good 60 ft.
