are all '94+ cobras SVT?

Hey, I just bought my first Cobra, a '94, (selling my '95 GT), and I just had a question.

Are all of the 1994+ Mustang Cobras SVT? My friend told me to get an SVT emblem for the trunk lid but I said "Dude, its not an SVT, its just a Cobra". But he is convinced that all of the newer Cobras are made by SVT. So is my stock '94 Cobra an SVT?

Your 1994 Mustang Cobra was still bulit at the Dearborn Assembly Plant (alongside other mustangs). SVT did not "build" the car, per se. BUT, the car is an "SVT product." All Cobras since '93 are "SVT Cobras." Hopefully that clarified it a little bit. You can also check out the SVT website at www.svt.ford.com for further information.

Personally, I'm not one for putting "extra" emblems on my car, but that's your call.

As stated, all 93+ Cobras and Lightnings are SVT vehicles and I see no reason for you to be reluctant to put the "SVT" badge on. Its not like you're putting a SVT badge on a GT.
Find a pic of the 95 Cobra rear which is almost exactly identical to your car, although it does have the SVT badge on the trunk lid. Put the SVT badge in the same place found on the 95. You're not a poser...you're an SVT owner. Display it if you wish.

All 94 and up (and the Fox body 93 Cobra) are indeed made by SVT. I think the SVT badge on the decklid wasn't added though till 96. But yes, you do have an SVT Cobra. Enjoy! :hail2:
