Tx.
Here are some pics of my '06 GT. It was ordered on 7-14, built on 8-23 and delivered on 9-2. It has leather, IUP, wheel locks and spoiler delete. It's a 5-speed manual also. I have added H&R springs for a modest drop of one inch in the front and three quarters of an inch in the rear, and ROH Drift R wheels. The wheels measure 19x9 in front and 19x10 in the rear, and are shod with BFG KDW tires in sizes 275/35-19 and 295/35-19. I really like it so far.

Sweet Stang Randy. I'll take it! You have every reason to be proud of that beauty.

Hey Randy - School me, please. Is that the Imola (spelling?) Red? and what is the difference between the ZHP and the ZSP?

I take it you like red

Nah, Ernad, he really likes Blue, but settled for the Red when he custom ordered it with Ford and waited a couple months to get it. And, he wanted a Blue 330I and opted for a $40,000 + BMW in Red. :notnice:

I think the Saloon needs your wisdom, sir.

Ernad - yes, red is my favorite although I do like yellow a lot on cars as well. I just sold a Chrome Yellow '98 Cobra Coupe when my GT arrived.

Jenn - Thanks! ZSP and ZHP are the order codes for the Sport Package and Performance Package, respectively. ZHP replaces ZSP when ordered. The ZHP was only available in the darker Imola Red. My 330i is Electric Red, which is a bit brighter and has a little orange tint to it (although not as much as the color did in '02-older). The ZHP has 10 more hp, 18" wheels and some suspension tweaks, along with some interior trim differences. The extra 10 hp would have been nice, but I actually prefer everything else about the regular ZSP.

I ordered the 330i also, and waited about 7 weeks to get it. My car is pretty much a stripper as I excluded a lot of the options that drive the cost of these cars up. It has leather, sport package and bi-xenon headlights. As a result, the MSRP was $38,800. For instance, Navigation, a moonroof and an auto trans (I wanted a 6-speed manual anyways) would have added $4k to the price. It's an incredible car for the money as long as you don't go crazy with the options. I'm a purist anyways, so that wasn't a problem. This car will be my long term daily transporter.

The only options I added to my GT were leather seats ($695), IUP ($450) and wheel locks ($50). MSRP was only $27,030. Interestingly, my previous '98 Cobra had an MSRP of $27,300.

Mustang looks super, but leave the foreign car picture out :flag:

BMW has a factory in South Carolina that builds SUVs, although mine was built in Munich. Competition is a good thing. I have owned 9 cars so far, and 8 of them have been domestics.

RandyB-you've got a nice garage! I really like the clean, spoilerless look.

I'm curious--why is the 330 your daily driver? I think I would just alternate daily...Stang...Beemer...stang...beemer...

I'll second "You must like red"! Nice ride, like the red with spoiler delete. I used to have an 01 330CI with 5 speed. Nice car, the ex wife only let me drive it twice, nice woman, I sold my 96 GT to put a down payment on it. I was ten grand into it counting the Mustang when when she traded me for the next level. At least she took the payment with her.

Not a bad plan. But the 330i has too much going for it right now over the GT for daily use, like much better ride quality, cheaper tires and better fuel economy. Plus, I miss the Mustang more and it's a treat when I do get to drive it and that helps prolong that 'new car feeling', which is key since I won't be having another new one for quite some time probably. :)

Thanks for all of the kind words - appreciate it!

I get about a 50/50 response on the spoiler delete item, which I wouldn't budge on. What about everyone else with spoiler delete? What do people say? No regrets here!

WOW...Stang looks perfect. Rims, lowering, everything looks great. Congrats and good job.

I have to give credit to stangnet member 'srichard' since my car is a near clone of his. :hail2: He has a rear spoiler, lighter interior and Eibachs for a little lower drop, but otherwise our cars are twins.

I love the Bullitt/McQueen look w/o the spoiler. The spoiler/wing looks too 69 mach one to me. I love that look on the 69, but it's just too retro on the 05/06.

I ordered mine spoiler delete but it came w/ a spoiler anyway, so I made the dealer swap trunk lids to one w/ no spoiler.

It's just personal taste though; I don't think it looks bad w/ the spoiler, I just like a simpler cleaner look.

The Mustang looks perfect--the wheels, stance, spolier delete. Very nice.

The 3 series is nice, too, but ultimately the two cars are two similar for my tastes, and I'd have a hard time stomaching that much depreciation at one time. I'd use the Mustang as the daily driver and get something a bit less practical and that would also hold its value better for fun.

Similar cars, but different missions. Certainly not the most economical transportation solution, that's for sure. I just try to make enough good financial decisions in all other areas so that I can be a little irresponsible when it comes to cars.
