passenger window problem

hey guys/gals.

My passenger side window seems to be going up too high when I roll it up. When shutting the door I have to either shut by pushing the window in, or slightly roll the window down.

Is there some sort of stopper that's come loose? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Just need to know what I'm looking for when I tear it apart.

Thanks....

Did this just happen or did you just notice it? What has changed, if anything?

Sounds like the regulator may have been jarred or is out of line, causing the glass to be fed too high.
When it's down, does it go all the way down?

I've never read that in my manual, but I'm sure you know what you saw.

I'll take a look in the service manual after work, but I would think there's some sort of limit switch in there which shouldn't just magically change itself.. I'm guessing the window came off the track a little and got hung up (changing the position of the limit switch.)

I just noticed it one day about a month ago and havent done anything about it cause the passenger door never gets used much.

The window goes down all the way.

I was starting to think that my body had shifted cause of the extra stress from the lowering springs. I drive on some pretty rough roads around here.
I dunno........

awww crap i had this problem. basically what happend is the window has come loose from the rail that holds int in place. what had to happen was that the window had to get replaced since the window floats on a rail and gets glued in (its a piece of crap design imo). i even think ford redesigned the window rails they use in 03+.
the glass shop said if ford windows pop out of the rail it cannot get glued in after it pops out. if if you do decide to get it glued in (and it can be) it's more time consuming and way more expensive since everything has to get cleaned to get a really good for the surface contact patch for the glue, rail, and window. and you also have to wait for the glue to cure where if you jump the gun on that youre back to square one :nonono:

it wasnt just the motor adjustment.
rule of thumb dont let anyone close the passenger side door using the window area.

look at $300 to get the new window replaced not including tinting(if applicable). and a couple hours.

if you do decide to try to fix it yourself look at 1 1/2 day of work and time for it to cure. :bang: :notnice:
