Did you buy your 05 Stang because of it's speed or style?

I guess in terms of speed this is more for the GT's but I bought my V6 for it's style. I love the look and I feel as though I'm driving an oldschool muscle car with more electronics.

I sold my 450 hp Chevy to buy the 05 Mustang, so I'll have to say I got it more for the style than the power. It is currently one of a very select few American cars with any style. I would have bought GM if they had something comparable that didn't look like an LS2 powered Camary.

When I do buy mine it'll be because of speed, style, and value. Who else sells a car that looks as good as a Mustang and is as fast as the Mustang for as cheap as the Mustang? Sure there are cars that look as good and are as fast but they usually cost at least twice as much.

Ditto here.. Only difference is I kept my big HP Chevy... :D

Simply got tired of GM jerkin' around and not taking the right step at the right time. :notnice:

The 70 Boss 302 `Stang was one of my all time favorite cars. Buying one and using it as a daily driver was out of the question. This car is the next best thing and as far as I'm concerned - Ford hit a home-run with this baby....

I agree. GM= a new "goat" that looks like a Cavalier; the Cavalier gone and replaced with a Cobalt (have you seen the spoiler on the Cobalt SS?), and no new Scumaro. And now, they're attempting to enter into the Mustang market with their absolute cheapest alternative: putting small-block V8's into the Monte and Impala..........another case of trying to take the easy road out.

And then you have Chrysler, which I do actually like most of their vehicles. But, I have to agree with an article written a month or so ago in MM&FF: while you have to applaud Chrysler for hiring vision-impaired designers, they shouldn't let them design the entire car, which obviously was the case with the new Charger- yikes!

I think most of us here purchased the S197 platform for both it's looks, and it's performance; even with the V6. My opinions above just made the choice easier for me.

Thanks,

Interestig question.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. IMO the s197 Mustang is the best looking production car of probably the last 10 years (regardless of price).

The fact that the GT can out gun a BMW M3 is purly a bonus. :nice:

all style

heck, we only get to speed ocasionally...legally
