Question about a V8 Conversion

I have done a search and it came up with nothing i am looking for. i just got a Very cherry black V6 vert and the HG blew and i have a 5.0 engine with a carb. how hard and what do i have to do to put it in there? is the T5 in it compatible meaning bolt right up(cause i heard it is the exact same trans as the 5.0 of that year). What do i have to do to change it over? Is the Mounts the same? and since it is going to be carb'd i don't have to worry about none of the electronics. My 93 Vert Gt i did the carb conversion and i know how to wire it. so i just need info on changing the V6 to V8 :D Thanks in advance :nice:

Take the check engine bulb out of the dash. If you're gonna run carbureted, the sensors will be throwing codes left and right..........easiest swap is to drop in a carbed 302 with a 94-95 k member, dat's it

Indeed. Carbs are a hell of a lot easier to swap in than an FI.

complete driveline swap.

:nice: As far as I know, the V6 T5 isn't as stout as the V8 T5 so it won't last long under alot of abuse. It would probably be fine for granny driving.
