NEW PICS UPDATED

In retrospect, We would have also voted against this idea if all we had to base our decision on was of the proto rendering pic. Here is the real deal!
Hi guys, Here is an idea for the 2005 06 07 and the 08 mustang. OK actually appearently ford thought of it first, but did'nt follow through at the last minute! LOL!!! Anyways, we made up some renderings of what it might look like when its done., the actual material used will mirror like chrome, Basically, it makes the 05-08 mustangs look even more retro. Every time we see the 05's, we see a car that looks like a 60's mustang that hasn't had the bumpers put on yet. So we made these panels that will be sold to the public. These panels are fabricated out of chromed plastic and are designed to attach on top of your car's bumper covers to enhance the retro look! These panels will be crafted to OEM specifications for a totally stock appearance. These will also be available in black and real carbon fiber. These will become available to dealers and the general public sometime before 12-15-06

I'd say no. But I'm not a fan of things that "stick" to cars... stick-on stripes, stick-on graphics, stick-on wings, stick-on carbon fiber trim, stick-on mouldings... where does it all end? What happened to the good old days when things were either painted on or bolted on?

No sir...I don't like it.

 I don't know why, but your reply reminds me of Mr. Horse from the Ren and Stimpy cartoons! :D

But about the bumper addons, I don't care for what I see so far, but who knows; after the product is refined and perhaps pictures from a different angle might do them more justice. Also, I'm wondering if there could be other products for the stang that would compliment these features?

Dont much like it either, it looks out of place. I see where you are coming from, but I can't see integrating the same style of chrome bumpers as on the originals. It also doesnt play well with popular modern design. Metal bumpers on current cars is just not happening much anymore. Not that I dont want the Mustang to be different, but I dont want it to be out of style either...

All metal bumpers on cars has been illegal in the US since 1970 I believe. I know that was about when the change was made, could have been a year or two later. Its a crash safety thing. And yes, that piece is completly unconvincing as a metal bumper simulator, and is also completely fugly.
