i'm getting the mongoose kit

a novi 2k is a huge blower compared to an s trim. Any shop can install the kit, but Tim at MPH has a reputation that is stellar. I know of other shops that are killer as well one being local...Lamotta Performance, One that is a little closer to you is Modular Depot.
My friend has a novi2k and i dont think its very loud compared to an strim...but thats me

thanks, & pm me the links or phone numbers to those places if you dont mind. i was considering sutton high performance or d.i.d. race enginering but i dont know much about either of them. i hear nothing but great things about mph but im not about to drive to georgia to have them set me up when there has to be someone in the chicago area that is capable of handleing the install & tune.

The Novi's a much better blower. In the end though, you'll just want a Kenne Bell or turbos, lol.

That being said, my SQ has been nothing but reliable. I havent lost my engine after 3 years of beating the piss out of it.

thats what ive been reading, that the novi is better. i already looked into turbos & the kenne bell. the problem is the turbos arent emissions legal & the kenne bell doesnt leave alot of room to grow(at least the 1.7) basically, i want to get the blower, gears, sub frames/torque boxes, clutch, x pipe, etc......& go from there. in a few years, ill look to upgrade the motor & ill be able to add alittle more boost which is why im leaning towards the novi. i thought i remember reading that they have a few quality issues but im not sure. so nobody has any thoughts on the methanol? i keep reading about it & im curious how it works in the real world.

you will probably get all of the support you need from MPH. if I were you I would go to the forums and search for mongoose installs

Hate to fall short in satisfying the expectation you trying achieve with a Vortech s/c , But here is some helpfull information goto: http://www.procharger.com/index.html
They have an article about Vortech overrating thier s/c product.
No offence, but the day I put 100% of my stock into the “new found information” discovered about an opposing company’s product and why it’s inferior and how much better theirs is, than the other guys, is the day I’ll give up driving altogether.

You don't expect ATI to say that they're product is inferior to Vortech's, do you? That's as bad as some of the...ummm...."creative literature" I've read on Kenne Bells web site. :nonono:

Personally, I do like those ATI Procharger systems though and for me it would be between those or the Kenne Bell units. I know some people running those and making some sick #'s on 2V motors.

I like the ATI systems too, but I'm not about to claim without a doubt that they're any better than a Vortech, Paxton or even a Kenne Bell like a few of the other attitudes on this board. Each kit has their high points and low points and all companies are going to play up their highpoints and expose another’s low points. That's just how the cut throat world of sales and advertising goes.

You know I've done allot of research before I made my decision. And I've found allot of people having trouple with ATI seals and there tunes. Only maybe a couple people haveing problems with the vortech. They seem to be one of the most reliable.
