Hi All,

OH, OH, OH..... I forgot to mention the sound.

It is just incredible. I could not be happier. A nice mellow rumble at idle and a throaty roar when reved.

Many thanks to the fellows at Magnaflow for recomending this system for our car. The fit and finish and sound are all we could possibly ask for....

I better stop now, a tear of joy is coming to my eye. Sniff, sniff...

bob, i really liked the video. a real quick way to see many details of the build. cant wait for the final product. any idea when you expect the car the be DONE? i know, it depends on all the little details, but you must have some idea?

Hi All,

This weekend went pretty well.

Wayne has the passenger side fender ready for primer. This fender really gave him fits. Every time he made an adjustment here, something would change there. Every time he fixed something there, something here would change. It was a combination of the fender not being quite right, the flare being totally different from the one on the other side and the curvature of the fender apron being slightly different than the drivers side. Even so, he has everything lining up just perfect. It is amazing the things you can accomplish if you just keep working at it and don't give up. There were many points along the way where I told him that it was good enough and Wayne just would not hear it. He was not going to give up until he was 100% happy with the results.

I on the other hand, got a second chance with the front valance. I was all prepared to let Wayne do all the work, but he would have none of it. This time he watched my progress and made sure that I did not mess this one up. All in all I am real happy with the results. Now I just have to open up the back side of the duct so that as much cool air as possible is directed into the intercooler heat exchanger.

With that said, it is time to get to work. Wayne is already hard at it and I am just sitting here at the keyboard typing on and on and on and on....

I will be holding off on making predictions until the car is in color. Maybe next week we will be able to post some photos of the car all ready for final assembly. At that point I will be able to make a prediction as to the actual completion.

Yes, the video is not complete. as a matter of fact, that whole section of photos right at the end are in need of editing. I am looking forward to adding some actual moving pictures to the video, but we will not be able to do that until the car can actually move on its own.

You don't need no stinking paint, it runs now just drive it, Besides the winter will be rough on the paint, Wait and paint it in the early spring, hehe.

Hey... thats a great idea!!!

Not only can I drive it as the ultimate sleeper, but I can enter it in a number of "rat rod" competitions before we apply the actual paint, etc...

Make sure you leave the valance a different color of primer like it is now, so you fit in with the ricers!

Hi Reen,

Congrats on the new addition to the family.

As far as fitting in with the ricers, I already have an SN65 do-rag and if I look through the back of my closet, I am sure I can find some of my old "fat" pants that will ride down around my knees.

Your car is looking killer BTW... Who do you think will finish first, you or I???? Wouldn't it be cool to show them both for the first time at the same event.

If you go to the SN65 home page, there is a small download of us firing up the beast. It is just a short little Windows Media Player clip, but it is living proof that she really does in fact fire up and that she runs smooth as silk.

No idea! Probably you. I'm not working on the convertible full time as I've got a bunch of other work going on. I get about half time into it or so. We'll see!

Wow I can honstly say that out of my 6 years or so of being a fan of classic mustangs and 3 years of owning a classic this is the craziest project Ive ever seen. Respect man. Are any magazines covering the project? Good luck with everything! god I love that banana.......

Not much Bob. I am still trying to save so I can send it to you. My wife has consumed much of my budgeted modification time. (she wants a kenne bell on her 03 GT) I want to come up and check out the project again some time close to the unveiling. Hope all goes well. Give Wayne my best.

I can't remember, are you giving it a chin spoiler? The way the core support and K-member hang down.....

Looks like you only have 1-1/2"-2" clearance. Is that something hanging below the K-member?
