Seat Belt holders

If you do remove them, you may want to replace them with another one. I took mine out because they wouldn't work with my light bar. After I removed the seat belt holder, the seat belt kept getting stuck between the seat and headrest making them ineffective ... bad news if involved in an accident! So, I bought the ones recommended by CDC ... an older model, a little smaller.

Hummm, yes I could see that as a problem that I didn't consider. Reason I guess is my seat is far enough back that the belt isn't even close to the headrest but if I had it up far enough it could be. Good point! :nice:

Well i don't want to take them off because they are there for reasons, However will i be able to alter them to keep'em from slipping out?

A friend of mine had his Jaw broken after his airbag deployed because of insuffiant belt tension, So metal plates in my jaw will just slow my car down.

Route the belt upside down through it. Basically, the belt should come out of the reel, run up to the brace on the ceiling, then make a half twist, enter the seat belt holder, then make a twist to be straight again. I've had mine like this since I bought the car, and they don't come out unless I take them out.

4 Point Racing Harness...ULTRA SAFE!!!...its also keeps your ass planted in that seat
I have 4 points as well as the factory seat belts ...... on the street the 4 points make it hard for me to check my driver side blind spot ...... being planted is good at the track but on the street it is dangerous to drive with ..... without the seat belt holders mine always get stuck in the door and on long drives at some seat positions the seat belt makes my neck itch where it rubbs against it ...... I am 6' even and keep my seat back pretty far though

If you don't mind the raw look, you can slip a little section of heat-shrink over the slot, warm it up, and no more belt-coming-out-of-holder problem. You'll need to replace the heat shrink in a couple of years because it does wear but it does the job. A little Mothers plastic preserver on it and it looks OK.
