Roush A true eBay gem

Neat car - I was checking it out earlier. Would have been tempting when I was looking for something.
Not sure about the claim of it being the last of the 21 produced - it's 98-0096, with several P46's listed after it the book. 98-0162 looks like the last one to me.

True enough. I own 98-0136 so it was obviously produced well after this particular Saleen Cobra convertible.

Also the listing states that Saleen installed the Vortech supercharger. Nonsense. Anderson Ford may have installed it as either a request from the original owner or Anderson may have done it to boost (no pun intended) the price when it arrived @ their dealership. Either way, Saleen did not install it as they would have been precluded from doing so for EPA/CARB purposes. Though the window sticker shows it as a "Saleen" option, no such option is listed as being available directly from Saleen according to The Saleen Book.

Perhaps someone more knowledgable can refute this claim.

Nope it's not the last one. On top of that it's not even the only red cobra vert with an owner added Vortech. :(

Here's 98-0141 Don't know if she ever sold it. Looks like a twin to me.

Hey Guys, I owned 98-142 which was a red cobra convertible. I believe 141 was a car in new mexico which did eventually sold after numerous price reductions. Speaking of mine was for sale for months with little to no interest. Car was beautiful but prices came down and mine wasn't supercharged. I doubt saleen put the blower on themselves I agree it was probably from Anderson. Here is a link to my old car.

According to the eBay link, the bidding on 98-0096 was prematurely ended by the seller due to it no longer being available for sale. The last bid was $25,100yet the reserve was not met. If true, the seller wanted much more than current NADA value. Curious.

Per a Classified posting on another Mustang related site (hint, it begins with a 'C' & ends in an 'L'), someone who claims they're from Copenhagen, Denmark now claims to own this car. The posting stated they are looking to purchase a S351 Speedster. Doubly curious.

I believe I was one of those who were attempting to purchase 98-0141 from the female owner whose name begins with a 'V'. She was asking way more than it was worth & certainly more than I was willing to pay. Ultimately its extensive drag racing history convinced me that it wasn't the right car for me. :Track:
