I was cruising to Boston on the Mass Pike a few days ago when I noticed a light green colored Mustang GT pulled over on the side of the road. I was going to stop and see if I could help a fellow Mustanger, but when I started pulling over, I noticed the flashing Trooper lights right above the bumper. He was just sitting there, he had nobody pulled over.
I didn't stop!
Interesting, I have never seen a Trooper's Mustang GT on the Mass Pike, although I have heard that they are out there!

Sure its fine to have unmarked cars for speeders, but it IS illegal for a cop to instigate a race and then pull the person over. Its the same as if an undercover agent posing as a dealer approached some guys and offered to sell drugs then arrested them after they bought. Entrapment would be the defense in court in both cases.

Doesn't mean they don't do it. That's part of the way they shut down one of the biggest street racing areas in MA, in the late '80's. They used to show up in Grand Nationals and race people, then bust them. It helped that the FBI was there, too.

Where was that? I lived in Mass back then and blasted all over the merrimack valley and northshore with my 87 GT, but don't remember hearing about that.
Damn those Grand Nationals were fast -- those and late model Vettes were about the only things that could reliably kick butt on 87+ mustangs.
