how to bump start...

I hate to say it, but this falls under the taboo category of "publicly asking how to hotwire." A multimeter will tell you what wires have continuity under the hood and under the dash or do like I would and start shorting them to see what happens :D.

A bumpstart is when you are in YOUR car and put the tranny in 1st with the clutch in. Then have your buddies push it/roll down a hill and drop the clutch.:p
yeah I kinda noticed that, he he, sorry I gues yeah I am saking how to "hotwire" and yeah I know it's stupid to ask about it online but I kinda need ta since when I got the GT stolen, they f'ed up the ignition switch..

you still need the key turned to "on" your just bypassing the starter selonoid.

if the key isn't turned on...it will turn over but never fire.

pretty sure it's the 2 small posts ....not the ones where batt cables hook on

This will bypass the safety interlocks, make sure that the car is in neutral and the parking brake is set. Becoming a pancake isn’t part of the repair process…

To crank the engine without a key, remove the small red push on wire from the starter solenoid (or relay if you prefer) and jump it to the solenoid post that connects to the battery.

Be advised that this does not provide power to the ignition system, fuel pump or computer. It will not start the engine, only cause the starter to crank the engine.

pardon my stupidness, what is that red push on wire actually for?

isnt the red push on wire the ignition relay. Because when you put 12v to that from the hot lead off the battery, it cranks then engine.
Turning the ignition switch to the crank position puts battery voltage on the red push on wire for the starter solenoid. That enegizes the solenoid and closes the contacts for the starter power.

can't you just use a remote start button?
Absolutely yes. That's what I do when I am working under the hood and need to crank the car. Just be sure to remember the warning about having it in neutral or Park.

soa remote starter would work, eh? but that wouls only crank the engine or actually start it? sorry i honestly dont know, and i guess hook it up to the 2 big posts, right? thanks...

It will just crank the starter.

The remote starter clips one lead the the screw push on terminal that has the small red wire on it and the other connects to the battery.

Squeeze the trigger and you energize the starter solenoid. That cranks the starter but does not power up the fuel pump, computer or ignition circuits. In other words, the engine will not start if this is all you did.

I recommend that you go back and read my previous posts again to get a better understanding of what's happening.
