Jeez, if im on the brink of being barely weekend driveable, can't imagine how this is gonna turn out, sounds like a big ****storm of headaches and too much money. I would be shooting for 1000rwhp. but i don't think this will be a good street car, then again i don't know what mike's plans are. good luck.

Maybe we could have a StangNet sponsored drag fest in central USA for a couple days, hotels, parties and fast cars. But i doubt that this could happen.

any updates?

Replaced the timing gears with a trick flow billet timing chain. The installation was smooth and the motor rotated over by hand just fine, or fine enough for me to install my rockers. Everything was buttoned up and I was trying to start the car, I noticed the motor was cranking over much faster then normal, however I couldnt get spark. We traced it to the distributor, and low and behold, it wasnt spinning. Removing the dist. revealed the cam wasnt spinning either. At this point I knew I was ***ed. Removed the timing cover and simultainiously shat myself. The cam dowel was broken off in the timing gear, and the cam wasnt moving. Apparently the timing gear wasnt machined properly, pulled the cam into the thrust plate via the cam bolt, and the camwas fuzed(welded) into the thrust plate, causing the dowel to snap and the valve train was dead. (summit gave me a refund)The cam isnt totaled, however two lobes neeb to be polished about .005 and then Ill sell it. The new cam from turbo people is on the way, as well as new lifters. The heads are at the machine shop be freshened and having the valve springs set up properly. Its not going to come out of the garage until the spring is here, however I will get it running as time permits. Right now im concentrating on college, work, hockey, working out, and the gf, in no particular order.
