Anybody have a Gtech?

Yup, they're pretty cool, if you do decide to get one, don't bother with the old G-Tech Pro as they don't work as well as the new SS and RR models. They're great for testing new mods to see what works and what doesn't and also for perfecting your launch technic and the best shift points.

Is the RR really worth 100 dollars more then the SS?
Meh, I guess it would depend on what you want to use it for, it is nice to be able to download your runs onto your computer. The only thing is, is next year they may come out with something even better and perhaps cheaper, and you'll be thinking "crap, I should have waited or just bought the cheaper one" but I guess that can happen with anything electronic these days.

^ Agreed..mine FROZE all up. I had to tear it apeart and spray lube in it, as it was all rusted in the switch. Apparently leaving it in the car sreats condensation and causes rust LOL. Before the cams it said I went 14.6 @ 102. At the track i was doing 13.5s @ 100.3 but with 25-30MPH headwinds. SO, I think the MPH was about right..a little high, but close.
BUT GET THE PLENUM...NO ONE CARES WHAT THE G-TECH SAYS YOU RUN IN THE 1/4.

I've found that when its calibrated correctly it can be very accurate only .01-.09 off on my 1/4 mile times and the mph is pretty much right on, but occasionaly it just screws up and gives me a 10 sec 1/4 mile run.

They work great under ideal conditions. Pefectly flat road, setup properly, etc. I got an old Gtec Pro for like $35 somewhere a while back. Its kinda cool but I would pay nearly $200 for it.

The new ones are waaaaay better, are very accurate, no comparison to the old G-tech Pro
they record:
-reaction time
-60ft time
-330ft time/speed
-0 to 60 time
-660ft time/speed
-1000ft time/speed
-1/4 mile time/speed
plus a bunch more stuff.
