plan on going with a trick flow stage 3 cam.....the car is carbed with an AOD and 4.30 gears, will the 205s be too much for the car? The car is probably not even going to see 300 miles a month of street use

so if i were to drive the car on the street the 205s would still be ok as far as streetability?

They'd be like 185s on a 302. As long as you have a matching intake and cam they'll be fine. Keep the gear, and seriously, go custom on the cam. I'd go to FTI.

I like the 185s on a 331. My buddy made 365rwhp with his 185s out of the box with a Victor Jr intake and a Custom grind cam. We havent tracked his car yet but we are guessing deep in 11s, because he pulls the ***** out of my 12second mach. I think the 205s might be a bit large for a 331

No,the 205's are just right.

You need the extra airflow at the track,as you not concered with low-mid torque, thats what the 4.30 gears are for.You deffenitaly dont want the heads as a restriction.
thats what i was thinking.....to be honest streetablilty is not that much of a concern. I dont think the car is going to see very much street time at all. One of my buddys can hook me up a set of the bad a$$ canfield heads with a matching cam for 1800$ fully assembeled and fully cnc'ed.
