Does anybody have any ideas on what would safeguard the paint on the bottom of the bumper on the 99-04's? I am tired of scratching the hell out of it on everything. BTW, does anybody own a saleen that the bottom of the front bumper isnt scratched up? Man these things sit low.

Spederman.

I'll just say that it's near impossible to keep the front bottom edge of the bumper perfect. The best way to keep it from getting scratched is to be as careful as you can. Remembering where the dips are and the slow-angle approach to all driveways. Saleen Mike has the carbon fiber splitter on his white vert but it only makes the clearance issue worse. If the front of the car sat any higher I think everyone would agree that it would look lousy. Just remember, you are no alone.:D

You can put a 6 inch lift kit on it. That should solve your problem. You may as well throw a set of 26" rims on it while you are at it. Be the first Saleen on 26".

 :rlaugh:  :rlaugh: Some people have all the good ideas. I was thinking duct tape or maybe nail some crown molding to the bottom of the spoiler...:D

there is something like clear tape that comes on some factory cars to prevent rock chips at body seams down near the tires. it is clear & just goes over the parts you want protected. not sure where to get it but its been on my mind as i want to protect my front Saleen valance the best i can to avoid damage.
