I have a 65 GT Fastback with a 289 Engine, runs very nice but I have oil coming out of the drivers said valve cover. I checked the PCV cable and there is plenty of suction on the other side of the engine. What would cause the oil to come up that high and out of the valve cover? I have oil all over my spark plug wires and valve cover.

are they aftermarket covers? If so, they might not have a baffle under the breather hole. Oil can get slung off the valvetrain and thru the breather, over time. Its not much, maybe 1 or 2 drops after a 20 mile drive, just enough to make mess.

It could be a few things, bad valve cover gasket, if you rev it fairly high for long period the oil will work its way out the breather, or you have a bad seal around the breather, Assuming the pcv valve circuit is setup and operating functionally...

Sorry for not being more specific..The oil is coming out of the cap on top of the valve cover. Its not a lot but just enough to get all over the spark plugs and on the valve cover and headers. The engine has been rebuilt about 6000 miles ago.
