So I wake up this morning to find someone has vandalized my car. They apparently tried to get in through the window but are complete morons (thank God) and stopped half way through. I kinda wish they did so my motion sensor would have gone off and I coulda met them outside. So then I guess they decided to smash in the rear end with what seems like was a bat.

I've gotten the body shop guy at my work to take a look at it and he's going to give me estimates tomorrow. I've also gone down to AudioExpress to get me a new Viper alarm.

I'll know if these guys come back....and I'll be more than ready to bust their heads in with a cinder block. Cowards.

And I'm also very happy I'm moving out to a place with a garage next week.

I understand your pain! My car is very unique looking, and I am afraid someone is going to go after my car because they are too afraid to confront me. Messing with someone's car is extreme cowardice.... :nonono:

I have a hot head and would feel exactly the way you do and would probably wait with a bat. And then I would end up in jail because the judge decided that protecting my Mustang from damage was NOT worth causing the vandals to lose the use of their limbs (he probably drives a KIA). And I don't know what he would make of the various items inserted into their asses.... Then I would end up paying the vandals money for giving them a hard lesson in respecting other people's property.

In other words, bad idea to wait and hurt them. It would suck to be dragged into a courtroom and found guilty for a crime, and then get sued as well!!! :(

Hate to be the voice of reason (it is SOOOOO rare) and really, I feel your pain. I live right outside DC in a not-so-reputable neighborhood. Basically, if I wasn't single or male, I wouldn't live here. I know you are just blowing off steam, but the desire to retaliate can fester... :bang:

Invest in a heavy bag. Sorry to hear of your pain, man. I'm dealing with a hit n' run, so I feel ya. The damage was less intentional, but there's more of it. At any rate, just look forward to your new garage comin up.

Thanks guys. Yeah I just talked to the body shop at my work and the total comes to $500. That's REALLY setting me up. As the saying goes, never burn old bridges. Or however it goes. I can't wait untill I see this punk come and try it again...or come and admire his "work". Dumb pu$$.

Pliskin,

That blows my friend. I concur with Excepcion on this one.

People suck, but you would be amazed, as Excepcion pointed out, of how a victim can be re-victimized by their own volition.

Breath and the car will get fixed.

People do indeed suck.

I'm getting my Viper installed tomorrow and my garage next thursday. car getting repaired this monday and its gonna take till wednesday. I'll post pictures when it comes back. Lets all hope my body shop does a good job!!!!

I have to give credit to Ford for making the retractable window design. That looks like a beotch for anyone to try to pry open. Wonder why they didn't just shatter the window. With the ignition security, I am surprised the people still try. Unless they have a flat bed available and 5 minutes to load it, stealing the car is a little difficult. Punk Kids.

Glad to hear it is getting fixed. And, yes. Garages are simply wonderful places for the Ponys.

i just repaired an 05 neon last week that the person tried to pry the window just like yours---behind the weatherstrip. everyone knows that its the screwdriver on the glass that breaks the window. i guess thieves dont use their heads when they want to commit crimes these days. just be glad you got a dumb one and they didnt get into your car. sorry to see that they did damage the outside, and i hope your body shop does a good job. good luck and get theat stang protected!!!!

Well, I wish he woulda gotten into the car almost. My motion sensors woulda gone off and I coulda caught him. I wouldn't mind getting a window replaced if I could have caught the stupid bastard.

The flat bed issue I dont have to worry about. I have the active anti-theft system. If the incline of the car is changed then the alarm goes off. Plus it was at my house anyway and its kinda hard to steal a car at my house with a flat bed. I dont think they were trying to steal it cause I we all have the pats key anyway. He was just a punk a$$ kid. He was probably going after my Escort 8500 x50. The only time i've EVER left it up on the window. :(

One more hour and I can pick up my car from the alarm installer. I made sure to check the mileage, the gas, and reset the trip meter and change the message center to blank. I dont trust them.
