My dad was working on my stereo and left a bunch of small dents in the portion of the dashboard right above where the central heating and air conditioning vents are. It looks really ****ty and the only way to fix it might have to be to replace that portion of the dash...which is the whole thing. How much will all this cost to fix his stupidity? Will I need to replace the entire dash.

This sucks.
My car is an 2003 GT. With black interior..I think ford refers to it as charcoal.

A new dash will be at least $1000

Might be able to find someone parting out a V6 or so with Dark CHarcoal interior for cheap.

How badly is it dented? Heat in the summer time might soften it up and allow the dents to spring out.

If you go looking for a new dash, 2001-2004 dark charcoal is what you want. Doesn't matter V6 or GT

Yeh. There are a bunch of small dents from where he used a screw driver to wedge out the plastic around the stero. Considering I keep my car like the day it came out of the showroom, it looks pretty bad.

Oh man, he used a screwdriver??

It's a bit too late, but that pulls out easily by hand. Just remove the shifter trim and then reach up from the bottom and pull and it comes right out. Takes all of 30 seconds to do :(

As for the Mach 460, these things like to jam. Using a business card or two, try to pull the cd out while ejecting it. That should free it. I keep a card in my center console just for that reason. 1 out of every 10 times i eject a CD it gets stuck and I gotta help it out.

He also jammed my mach 460 6 CD changer. Whenever you hit eject it says "cd error." Any suggestions.
Mach 460 changers jam themselves, they do not need ANY help. There are a bout a thousand threads on the internet on how to correct...

Do you know how to use Google?

my radio was stolen and less damage was done than by your installer. Oh yeh..... keep dad away from the mustang. Next time he might use a crow bar!!crapola
