T5 Conversion

I have a 69 mustang I want to convert from an Auto to a T5-z that I have, but I have a question. I was told that their should be a knockout stamped where the clutch rod need to be located, but I don't see one. Anyone done this conversion? ANy one have pic of where the rod comes through the firewall? I have a JMC Hyd. CLutch kit I want to use, just need to find where to mount it on the firewall. THanks.

I did the same thing. I also could not find the knockout for the rod. There is actually a perfect place to mount the JMC kit on our cars. I have pics and I will post them up either tonight or tomorrow I have work and will be busy. I remember taking some good pictures so it should help you out, I will also give you pics of how it was done up inside the car.

There we go use these with the link I gave you I hope they help they were the best ones I took. If you use the picture from the inside as a template you should have no clearance issues with the master cyliner and brake booster.

Shotsy the late model 5.0's would be the ones you would want to use as a donor. I strongly advise against it though, with your clevaland you will want to at the very least use a t-5Z. I don't believe in buying used stuff unless you have all the expertise to rebuild it.
