Hey guys, I was looking into some lowering springs for my '00 GT. I'm looking for a more agressive look, not making an SCCA car or anything. Options so far are the Eibach pro kit, Steeda Sports, H&R Sports or FRPP Lowering springs. All are around $240 except the FRPPs which are 150 (?) and all lower the car 1.8 inches (pro kit) or less so I don't think that i'd be needing any C/C plates. Do you guys have any experience with any of these or could recommend some? Thanks for your help.

i've seen stangs lowered on c springs that barely looked lowered in front even 1/2" from stock and they dont lower the rear of the car at all really. A lot of people end up cutting them and/or removing isolators to make the stance right, so i'd say save yourself from the fidgeting with the c springs, and go with Steeda Sports or Eibach Pro Kit (1.5" drop as someone mentioned previosly)

and DO NOT get eibach SPORTLINES! they suck. the rear springs sag. :nonono:

Yeah sportlines are a decently big drop at about 2 inches and depending where you're driving, you'll be scraping at every bump, I say go with Steedas or Eibach's Pro Kit
no...i meant dont get sportlines because the rear springs sag and they suck fuggin rhinoceros balls.

So so true. Don't get me wrong, the sportlines make the car handle like a dream, but i have to put poly-urethane isolators in the rear and remove the bottom isolators up front just to make my mustang sit right:mad: Unless i want to spend 240 bucks on some H&R SuperSports.

well instead of making a new thread ill just post it here. I just got my Steeda SuperLite springs in and I was planning on doing them tomorrow morning but my buddies backed out because they have some stuff to do so I was wonderinf if any of you out there have done them yourself. I know an extra body would be nice, but as a last resort how hard is it? im simply just doing the springs and thats it. any feeback or helpful links would be great. i had going to bed at night knowing that i could get rid of the 4X4 package and they are right there in my trunk! lol

I recommend H&Rs. I got the Steedas and not enough drop in the back.

well thanks for the link! i had my laptop out there with me! i did the install solo with handtools alone! man my back feels like jelly! I am very impressed with steedas SuperLite springs initially after the install. I have only drivin on her for a day or two and waiting ofr the springs to settle before i post before/after pics. I am very happy with the look and feel the steeda's give me! I believe there are way too many steeda haters out there that believe you are paying for the name. I believe in paying for what you get, and getting track tested quality products at that! thanks again for the link. pics coming soon
