It doesn't help anyone who might suggest a comnpany if they screwed up like you are implying, OR maybe someone else has had a problem with them before.

im sorry i wont give a name but the one hint i will give you is that it is a very well known company in ohio:notnice:
im just gonna have to let everyone figure it out:nice:

So...did you degree the cams in when you installed the heads or just bolt them on? This is the kind of stuff that happens when you take shortcuts.

Had the same thing happen to the ’96 Romeo engine in my Cougar, before I bought it. It turned out that the previous owner let it run low on oil and it squeaked the cam in the passenger side head.....also broke a few of the rocker arms (feelers) and bent the head of one of the valves when it went crashing into the piston.

When I rebuilt it, I installed a Cobra High Volume pump to insure that there was never a shortage of oil to that area again. I swapped out a set of PI heads and cams to the short block, which I received unassembled. I had to mix and match the retaining caps around, as well as polish the cam and head journals a little with some fine emery cloth, then work the cam in a little with the electric drill and assembly lube until I was completely satisfied with the way it was operating. You can't just slap these suckers in. You've got to torque them properly; otherwise they'll get tight on ya.

It may have been a case of neglect on their part, or it very well may have been a case of you letting it run a little low on oil during break in. So, you may want to make sure this wasn't something you did, before you go pointing any fingers. :)

Funny that you mention degreeing the cams,i had the longblock assembled by one of the best engine builders here in the northeast and yes he did degree the cams, one was off 6 degrees and the other was off 10 so that was most definetly not the problem so there where no shortcuts taken:nice:

Thanks for the responce,i have motorsport high volume pump with the billet gears and also a canton 7 qrt oil pan.
When i drove the car i always kept an eye on my gauges like a hawk, when i would start the car the gauge would read 90-100 psi, when it was warm and i was driving it the gauge would read between 50-75 psi and at idle it would never go below 25 psi and i have talked to alot of ppl and they tell me that the oil pump if definetly not the problem.
As for the cam assembly they where already shipped to me assembled so i shouldnt have to check them if i paid all the money for them, the company that i bought the heads from didnt even tell me or my engine builder the cams had to be degreed thank goodness he caught it and why i trusted him to assemble the longblock.
Im not out here trying to point fingers im just asking for input and wondering what anyone else would do if they where in my shoes.
I have to figure out how im going to approach this situation:eek:

If they are giving you a hard time,it is time to threaten that you are going to see a lawyer, and that you are even gonna go to the local paper, and local news channel to complain about there customer service, and dealings.I've heard that worked for someone else with similar issues, but not car related though.
Just a thought.
