my driverside quarter window on my 91 vert is having problems if i pull it it will go up its kinda clunky and seems really loose, the motor seems to still have the power but seems as though its off track, but i thought they really didnt have a track on those.

anyone worked on these windows before?
how do you get in there to work on it?

i took a look at it and got confuse on how to actually remove the panel to get back to the window.

this is the only problem i have with the car and it just recently started and am hoping that i will be able to fix it.
thanks to all that can help

The bushings were the problem on mine. They're cheap though, I got mine from Latemodel Restoration Supply, although other places probably have them as well. Also, this is obvious, but clean and lightly re-grease the guide rod. There was a ton of old grease on mine that made it run rough up and down. Take the panel off like the previous post says, mine had one rouge screw that I had to pull the back rest forward to get to. Good luck.

My rear quarter window has done that on both sides. Both times I pulled the window motor and had to replace some little plastic bushings to get the motor running again and it fixed the problem. Ford used a triangle shaped gear with little plastic bushings so that if the window bound up on the way up the plastic bushings would break before the glass. The problem is sometimes the window gets caught coming up the rear weather stipping and the stress is great enough to crack the plastic bushings, especially after they are old or worn. One way to maintain that you do not break them after you fix the problem is to just put your windows up before bringing the top back up, and just not use them when the top is up. Hope this fixes your problem.
