Ok, kinda a stupid question but I'm hoping someone can confirm something for me. I had my Shaker 1000 cd changer replaced due to the skipping issue. However, I just now noticed while driving at night that the letters on the radio buttons do not illuminate when the lights are on. The only thing that's lit up on the radio is the center LED where it displayes the clock/station information. I honestly can't remember if this was always like this or if they didn't hook something backup properly when they put the radio back in. Can someone tell me if it's just that way or if the button text really should illuminate when the lights are on? Thanks very much!

all those buttons should light up... looks like they've either left something uplugged or simply a blown fuse?

Thanks for getting back to me on this. I have driven the Mustang about a handful of times in the past 3 or so months, due to the winter weather and I just couldn't remember if the damn buttons lit up :)

Thanks again.

Update!

Just wanted to update on this. Took it in to the dealer, they needed to reprogram the radio so the the buttons (as well as a couple other functions) would illuminate. Apparanty, when I had the CD changer replaced, they ddin't receive the notice from Ford that they had to do this as well. Took 5 minutes and I was out the door.

you mean they didnt bother to look it up on oasis. the TSB has been out for a long time. they didnt look up all the possible TSBs on oasis, or they would have caught it.
