Failed emissions for EGR Need Help!!

I know this is the 4.6 board guys so dont b i tch me out yet. I just posted over here cause no one really knows anything in the v6 section. And i just have a few simple questions. Thanks

My friends 02 v6 stang failed for this "P0401 - EGR Flow
: Insufficient Detected" Now is this something that happened because of his mac catback? When he goes in to get it fixed will the void his warrenty? Is it something we car fix, if so where is it located and what do we do.

could be the flow sensor is bad. fords are known for clogging up the EGR passageways pretty easy.

Mine threw that code the other day after getting the car back from the Ford dealership when replacing the cracked intake, they had forgot to recconect the vacuum line that goes to the top of the EGR.
