Whipple supercharger

Whipple themselves don't, but, Saleen uses a Lysholm (Which is who makes them for Whipple) supercharger with the high end Series IV 4.6L SOHC kit.http://www.saleen.com/SC101_Services/SC101_Shopper/showItem.php?menuId=82&itemNum=178-613 ....although their accompanying manifold really doesn't take advantage of the additional airflow very well.

AED also runs a Lysholm 2300AX (Same blower as the Ford GT) in their Race kit. Much better maniflod design than the Saleen, but you're going to have to fabricate a couple of brackets to make it work. http://www.allenengine.com/racekit.html

that is true but i still rather go with the KB........just when people ask you what you got and you say a Kenne-bell blower  at whatever psi, they stand back and dont really want to mess with you unless they are cocky. :nice:
I dunno.....I could stand spending $4,000-less of the AED system to tell people when they ask, that "I don't have a Kenne Bell, but still have another twin screw under the hood that would kick your ass equally as well." :D

To tell you the truth, Fear isn't always the first thing on people minds when they hear you've got a Kenne Bell under the hood. A lot of people kinda roll their eyes about Kenne Bell cars around here and play it off like...."Ahh, just another Kenny Bell car, huh?" Owners know they've got the potential, but unfortunatly, most of the ones I've seen run have problems living up to their potential because of driving or traction issues. :(

I've seen more 13-second Kenne Bell cars than I have any other blown cars. Time slips don't tell the whole story as everyone knows, but a lot of the times, numbers are the only things that most will pay attention to.

only if whee that easy when people are modding cars outhere the first thing out of their mouths is " is it c.a.r.b legal" if its not then they really wont mess with it. But us that are on the dark side of things say screw emissions and slap on that 2.4L KB blower :nice:

I don't think the 2.4L KB is carb legal either though, is it?

Lysholm no longer supplies the blowers to Whipple. Whipple now manufactures their own, they also changed then name from 2300AX to 140AX. The new blower is suppose to be a better design, more efficient than the Lysholm.
