That sucks, sorry for your damage. My son's 2002 Mustang was also keyed a while back and we think we know who did it. I tried to confront the guy but he didn't want to answer his front door. After he saw the size of my son, he didn't bother the car anymore, but the damage was already done. Again, sorry you had to experience what these low lifes do.

High school or college/university or ____? The '91 Civic I commute in was keyed back when I was at community college. Why anyone would key my beater is beyond me. Although, its not like anyone could hurt the Mustang's paint either.

Anyway, i'm sorry to hear that someone wrecked your paint. Is it an original color? It looks like Wimbledon White which shouldn't be too hard to match. You could prep and shoot the door yourself for probably less than $50-75.

stetson university, deland florida...they only keyed the cars that were nice, they also tried to break into the sorority houses....in deland, the townies are prevelant and i think they were just doing it out of jealosy....everyone at school knows my car and me..at first we thought it was another fraternity that we might have pissed off, but all the other fraternities had stuff damaged, one kid had a mo-ped thing, he got a call from public safety at 5:00 am telling him that his scooter was in the middle of the road, they bent the frame, and the front forks and then pushed it into the middle of the street, so we ruled out all the fraternity stuff...but one of the kids cars had "townie" keyed into the side of it..so we can kinda point fingers......:(

man that effin sucks :( sorry to hear about that. why anyone would key a car for no real reason is madness. hope u figure out who did it.

I'm reluctant to park my car in the campus parking lot at the univeristy i go to....for this very thing...and door dings as well. I'm lucky tohave a daily driver i guess.

again, sorry to hear bout that happenin. find those crackers who did it

Boy, I wish I could've caught him doing it. I'd have given anything to catch that ***hole doing it. It'd been worth him doing it just so I could've caught him doing it.

That totally sucks. I hate to ask, but what if it just happens again after it's resprayed?

I'd find out who did it, and take keys to their eyeballs. But then again, my friends always tell me I take the whole eye-for-an-eye thing a little far.

My dad's 2000 stang was spray painted in front of his house. He was outside painting the house, 2 hours later he goes to move it in and there is a blue spray paint stripe down the side.

My 02 stang was hit by a paintball gun goin down the road, Was lucky actually, had the windows open and it hit my driver side A Pillar and splatterd on to the windshield. Could of been worse, could of hit me.

Anyways, sorry to hear that. Wonder if they make those locking covers for classic mustangs.

Man. People like that should not be allowed to live. Or they should be locked up in prison being someones bitch. With all these bad occurances has got me thinking about whether or not I should take my mustang back to my college.

Apparently things are different enough on the west coast that I have to ask.....what's a "townie"?

Here we just have people called ***holes.

here in deland, a townie is a local person who lives here while the rest of us at school are here for that reason, school...we are all trying to look for the people who did it, because it wasnt just my car, it was a good amount of cars...i just cant beleive they had the balls to lift the cover up, and then place it back down...but again, it could have been worse, they could have smashed my window and tried to steal it :nonono: thanks everyone for your support, the car is currently sitting at my house in the garage, im not bringing it back to school..and i have to save for new paint...this just all sucks..:(

yeah, taking your car back to school would probably be a bad idea, i made it through almost 3 full years of someone screwing with it and then my luck ran out....

when i have a case # from the police, what do i do, just like call and check on it once and a while or what? im not really experienced with this stuff?

When my son went to college, he drove a 91 Camaro. It was full of door dings when he finally graduated. As for the police report, I would imagine it's strictly for insurance purposes unless you know who did the damage.

When I tried to confront the suspected idiot at my condo complex, the security guard stood around the corner from the front door, and to think I pay for this security every month in the association fees.

Again sorry about your damage, life sucks at times.

thanks for your support, i just hate working so hard on this car, devoting all my time and money to it, and then have it get #&%$#$ up by some drunk townie who is jealous..... if i knew who did it, it wouldnt be a pretty site, because they already have like 5 other people looking for them..but again, thank you all for your support, its nice to hear that people actually care about cars and the effort people put into them...

I have a friend that has a 04 Cobra. He went to visit his girlfriend and her apartment and as they came out to go to dinner the Security Guard was on his knees looking at the car. He asked what was going on and the Guard just said he was looking. They went to dinner, came back and went upstairs for about a half hour. When he came back all his "Snakes" had been torn off the car and the Security Guard knew nothing!

I am afraid that even if they catch the scumbags that are responsible for this crap they will be minors. This is a sign of the times we all live in. No one is responsible for their actions. Most parents are more interested with there lives than making sure there children grow up to become useful productive members of society. Leaving you with very little recourse.:bang: :(
