I have performer rpms with a holley upper and lower with a 1" spacer and I wanted to install some polished valve covers and was wondering if I can clear the polished Ford Racing ones? Anyone run tall valve covers on a efi car?
I'm running them with my Perf RPM intake and 1" spacer and they will clear. It's pretty tight but you should be able to do it. I've got AFR 185's on mine.
I have the Ford Racing 3 3/4" tall polished valve covers with a one "spacer" I have a 1.5" mach 1 hood but it would still clear even with the stock hood as it is below the hood line. I defanatley neede the 1: spacer because even with it in it was a real tight fit, thank God I did not get teh 3/8" spacer. That would have been one more wasted money part
I run them with a trickflow street heat and the 5/8" spacer on my 95. It cuts it real close where the tb elbow is and the intake is touching the underlining of the hood (that will change when I get my cowl though).
Ok, thanks guys for the replies. I am looking at the ford racing polished valve covers and the Trick flow silver valve covers. I'm hoping that I will have enough clearance.
