You have to have brass balls to video tape a car that squirlly from the middle of the road  I didn't realize how crappy the lateral control on that car was. Must make it that much more fun to drive though.

I was thinking that same thing... I would be too scared that he'd lose it

Actually.....

I really don't know why they went all gangster and crap. They're both "geeks" in a way. They work for the university at the computer center. No pun intended.
I am a hardcore geek, but that doesn't mean I can't like gangster rap :D I chose colors becaues the song just seems to fit car. The song is all about being a bad-ass and having respect/street cred.

The guy actually never races on the street or pulls that kind of stunt. I guess he did it for the vid only.
Hahah, you don't know him very well I take it. He races any chance he can on the street. The original SRT-4 race is here: Click Here To See. He's got many kills on the track AND the street.

Cobras are meant to be driven hard. This one is a modified Cobra at that. It's tuned WELL into the safe range. Unless he beats on it every day, doesn't change the oil and bangs the rev limiter every chance he gets, he'll be okay. These cobras are pretty stout!

Also, he's got lots of time in the seat on the street and at the track. He just wanted to have fun on video with his bald tires (New ones are waiting to be put on). He knows how to drive his car really well.

As I said before, he's a really good driver. I wansn't nervous. And as far as the control issue goes, you hvae to realize, this thing is pushing over 500rwhp on BALD tires, not worn, not almost gone...BALD as in SLICK. That thing with drag radials would be monster. Course, they cost TONS of money.

Glad everyone liked the video. It was fun to film/chop up. I just wish I could convince him to let me drive.....

hahaha

Never races??? i pulled a 05 viper gts last month on the street  and several cars since i've got the car. Thats the reason i've modded this car b/c i lost to a h/c z06 by a car length when i was closer to stock. So i've modded it up to make sure that doesnt happen again. Problem is having someone line up against me.
i used to own a 89 paxson powered 11 sec. lx w/ n20 on top of it as a daily driver for 7 yrs. then a tried the whole heads, cam, n2o 2-v but it just was way to much money so i settled for the best bang for the buck from the factory, a forged 4-v w/ a blower, just cant beat that.
I still run the factory eaton w/ a stage 3 port which is $495, just the price of a n2o kit and im pushing 500+rwhp not to mention i have a n2o kit i'll slap on since my brother is a old school nitrous junkie.

hey its what pays the bills, sold my old 2000 GT , ported 2-v heads, 2-v custom cams, forged 2-v block bored .30 over for a good chunk of money then just put it as a downpayment for this which i dont regret converting from 2-v to 4-v.
i will start a 302 project again since we all know they are faster as race cars :nice:
