hey guys, im probably gonna order the aje k-member kit from 50resto pretty soon, but i dont know what length or rate spring i need for the coilovers? i'll be running carbed 408 windsor w/ cast iron heads. car is gonna be weekend warrior/drag racer, so im not worried about corner carving. also thoughts on good struts? lookin at 90/10 lakewoods or strange 10-ways? any help would be much appreciated!

will the 14" springs make it sit higher in the front? i want my car to be raked out in the front. i know the coilovers are adjustable, but how much? im thinkin that a spring 2"s taller might not let my car sit as low as i would like.

It shouldn't. I had 12" 200#'s in my 89 coupe and I could make it as low as I wanted. But that was with a light front end, (tubular k-member, arms, battery in trunk, fiberglass hood, removed acessories, etc..).

The thing I didn't like about the 12's was that when the car was jacked up they were free to move around, (no tension on the spring at all). They just flopped around in there. Thats why I said 14". Hopefully it would keep tension on the springs at all times.

I would think with a 408 W/ cast iron heads it should have enough weight to keep it lower or at least be able to get the adjustment as low as you would like it.

Here's where I adjusted my car to.

Jacked up with the springs free and loose.
