So who knew by building a new engine, making it a 308, putting Frickflow H/C/I combo on it, deleting the smog and putting full exhaust on it would leave me with a whole whopping 262rwhp and 296rwtq

Yeah its kind of bs. I dont know what the deal is. The funny thing is the i even after a custom chip. But I guess its an improvment over the first time I took it to a dyno, it produced a whole 205rwhp and 248rwtq then

they were both dynojets. My car feels fast, but then again ive been in iraq for a year driving humvees, I havent driven my car for 2 years and then it was all stock with an aod and now its a stick. And my other ride is a 1971 C-10 pickup that is in now way considered fast.

i just got my new issue of 5.0 mustang& FF yesterday.

they took and installed that same kit on a stock 170.000 mile stock long block, got 292 hp. it dynoe'd at 220 before the kit. i think on average most those hci's are ball park 70 hp worth. your probably only 10 or 20 hp off the mark and i'm sure it's hiding in there somewhere.........don't get discouraged.......

lets see. fresh 308, TFR Track heat intake, TFR stage 1 cam, TFR twisted wedge heads, 24lb injectors, 70mm TB, 73mm C&L MAF with the blue tube, smog deleted, Custom chip, BBK ceramic headers, MAC Prochamber, Hooker Aerochamber mufflers, T5, FRPP aluminum driveshaft, 3:73s, Granetelli lower control arms, Steeda HD uppers....umm I guess thats about all I have installed right now.

I have noticed some guys running the C&L meters are not post the dyno numbers expected from combinations of parts. I'm not saying it's common, just something I've noticed...you missing something, all the components are present to make very near 300 without any doubt.

plugs: bosch platnum 4s. wires are 10mm live wires, with coil from live wires, and the dynomod module for the distributor. I had an MSD Billet, but it was the biggest POS I have had to deal with with this car so far, so its not in there anymore either.

so far i am very uninthused with this build so far. about the only BIG difference is now i only get about 14.5mpg versus my old 22-27. and that was with the AOD. If i could do it all over again, I would have just traded it in on a newer car and said screw it.

I hate to be the barer of bad news, but that actually does sound right. For some reason, it seems that folks expect a LOT more from an H/C/I out of the box kit, and an off the shelf cam. You picked up 60 RWHP from an H/C/I! That's nothing to sneeze at. You've got a few more HP hiding in getting your AFR squared away but I don't recon' you'll see another 40 HP out of it.

Just a thought.
