Hi, guys I am new to ths forum. I have been reading for about a year now and enjoy your solutions. Now I have a problem. I have a 95 V6 Mustang Convertible. In october I had a Audio customizer install 4 12 inch subs and two amps in my trunk, tirewell and all. But I just found out that my top won't go all the way down and lock into place, so as I drive the top rises a little. When I put it down it is 3 inches out of its designated place. Do you think the boot cover will hold it down, or does the top have to go all the way down in order to use a boot cover? If so, can anyone let me know where I can get a black one for cheap? Thanks in advanced guys.

who chose that config. for the subs????
with a vert ida checked it out first if the top would ahve dropped properly, id just say try makin the boot take up the slack and if it works tour done if not go from there, i bet those would rattle your eardrums, and ask a mod to take off your other two posts too.

4 12's ouch in my 93 Hatch I have 2 fosgate 12's and they are too much.

I have a 95 Vert and I have been thinking about subs, thanks for posting this - Subs are OUT!!!

I am sure, that the top has to be down and locked for the boot to fit properly and not "lift off" in flight during driving. If you are 3 inches in thewrong direction already your audio guy messed up the install badly.

/\that and he chose a poor configuration on those subs....unless he was told to do it that way he suks. sry if i seem like a dick i workd for a local audio shop and never have i seen something that bizzarre. besides i have delt w/ many verts no sn95 stangs, but its the same for all of em, you test the vert before the customer comes in to pick it up......this is after youve already made a design that is supposed to fit in the verts trunk WITH THE TOP DOWN!! And to be off by 3" is shotty work :(

He chose what to do. I just told him I wanted a 4 sub box and he did the design and everything. I thought he would have took the top into consideration. I agree, he should have made it so the top comes down perfectly. But he said I would have to take the sub in the tirewell out for the top to come all the way down. I am just going to run the three subs. Thanks for the replies.:nice:

Thanks for the welcome. I would love to leav e like it is but when I start driving the top rises higher than the pictures show. It rises maybe 6-8 inches. When it rises it is actually about the same level as the spoiler.:(
