How hard is it to do yourself and what does it involve?

I put the FRPP shorties on mine. In retrospect, I think it was a waste. I should have held out for the long tubes. Cost vs HP return factor is much greater with the long tube. The big issues are clearance for tools and your hands. Its tight. But its a weekend job if you have a good jack, stands, and assortment of tools including 1/4 drive with extensions and universals. It was 5 years ago, but if memory serves I had to drop the steering column shaft on the drivers side, and the starter on the passenger side, but that was about it. Now, I have had two friends put long tubes on a Cobra and a Mach, and they went the route of dropping the K-member. This was not needed with the shorties.
