I need some help with interior questions.

The '67 coupe that I just hauled home has:

1) high back seats (taller then what you normally see in a '67).
2) diamond tucked headlliner, door panels, rear window deck.

Did ford offer such things in a '67 coupe.

sounds to me like somebody had some custom interior work done to this car probably in the 70's.
I think some of the 71-73 cars had high back buckets with a diamond pattern, they may have put those into your car, and then had other parts done to match.
Definitely NOT a stock 67 interior.

Ahh, the young bucks have no idea, do they Milner? LOL!!! I wonder if the dash had Mohair? Ooh!! and Shag carpet?!? There's probably holes at the bottom of the dash where the CB was as well as holes for the bracket at the center of the front of the decklid where the whip antenna was.

Young bucks, Ha. :rlaugh:
I'll take that compliment anyday. Since there are so many 'special' stangs out there, well....who knows what's possible, right? The first '67 I had in the early 80s had a pony interior but all the info I find is that it was only avail on the 65-66.
I did read somewhere that the CB was an option though. That would be like finding a stang with the rumble seat.

The pictures are in the gallery. Yes...it does look like a definite interior redo.

I'm still wondering about the seats. I'll have to cruise the web, I think I've seen these before but I'm not sure where.

That interior should have gone into something like a 54 chevy belair, or a 50s F100 truck, I don't know the last time I saw a diamond pattern interior like that. Amazing what some people will do to a car, and a I6 car none the less. Reminds me of the van conversion craze when I was a kid in the late '70's.

Is the floor of that car like swiss cheese?

Good luck with the project, whatever direction you plan to go in.

Milner??

I like the cloth with diamond pattern instead of the vinyl with big buttons on it. This is my baby by the way.

Well, that's where I got my nickname, the guys in my auto shop class in highschool started calling me milner after my 70 mach1 35c4v 4spd was more than another guys big block pontiac could handle... I've used it for my ebay username and pretty much all my usernames on boards like this one.
Some day I'd like to build a coupe like the yellow one in the movie.... someday.

If I'm not mistaken, Milners coupe, THX1138 is in Hawaii now. I saw a picture of The Skipper from Giligan's Island posing with it and some hot young lovely local :)

One of the benefits of growing up in the area where American Grafitti was filmed.
