I just got my 347 running last week. I have put about 150 miles on it. Today, the needle on my oil pressure gage starting doing something I've never seen before. It was moving incredibly fast between 40-60 lbs. So fast I couldn't capture it on my video phone. It's a blur...

I changed the oil filter, and it seemed to help, but I haven't driven it.. now its "flickering" between 40-45 lbs at idle.

This is a mechanical gage, and it's not leaking on either end. I don't see any leaks on the engine... so I'm stumped. The oil looked good in the filter, and I pulled the dipstick....looks nice and clean.

I'm gonna go to the auto parts store tomorrow and buy a cheap gage to see if my Autometer gage is malfunctioning... also will drop and change the oil.

Any ideas what it could be or what to check?

More info.... It's braided line from the block to the gage. Also, it wasn't doing it earlier this morning, or now....

I went to a friend's house and he lent me a gage. I just started it cold, and it's fine. ???? I didn't change gages... this is the same one.

What does that mean?

Whats the combo again?
It's a big bore 347. Same heads CNCed Brodix T1s, .640 lift solid roller (I forget the duration), spyder intake....new fuel system, Hooker Super Comp headers and 3 inch X and flows. 38# injectors....everything else is the same.

Be putting it on the dyno next week. Will post N/A #s and Nitrous.
