Modded GTP talkin S*** race?06 GT

Guys im going to the track in march/april. I'm thinking stock i can hit about a 13.7-13.8( I got a stock 06 5spd coupe).My friend with a GTP(very quick ran a 14.2 with out lauching due to traction,now he has tires/shiftkit/motor mounts/and comp tuning) is telling me there is no way i can run that. He says I can run at best 13.99999999~.

I was like ok if you say so, he said he is wants to beat me by .5 sec. So it got me thinking, I want 12's to shut him up. I want to buy a JLT Intake/w tune,Nitto 555r's,Lca(dnt know what brand yet i was wondering if u guys know any good ones),Slp axel back,Pulleys(same as lca's). I wanted know what would i run stock AND with these mods.Is there any way i can run 12's with those mods or do i need 4.10's. I'm also taking my spare/jack out. Thanx alot guys.

And your friend doenst know anything about these new mustangs. Practice your driving and you ahould be hitting 13.5-13.7 in the quarter, stock!! I ran a 13.7 on my first run with an auto. Find a good launch technique and good shift points. I shift at 6000 rpms in my auto and run it to my rev limiter at 6800 in 3rd before switching to 4th, that seems to be the best for my car. Just adding a CAI/tune will be enough to get into the low 13's and take car of your friends's GTP. And your friend's car will be lucky if he hits high 13's. Learning how to drive should be your first step, and then decide if you need to start modifying it from there.
