replaced entire brake system now having strange issues

alright i have a stock engine 93 cobra.... i've replaced the entire braking system. front calipers are now SVO73mm ones the rears are new stock replacements the rubber hoses have been replaced with stainless braided from MM the booster is a 95 gt one and the master cylinder is a new 93 cobra one as well as all the hard lines have been replaced with new prebent and flared ones from classic tube the stock proportioning valve has been gutted and capped and a wilwood adjustable unit is in its place. Now here's the problem.... i've bled the entire system atleast 5 times both the conventional way and with a vacuum pump.... the brake pedal is still really soft and goes straight to the floor and comes up really slow with the car on and idling.... now if i remove the vacuum line from the booster the pedal gets harder OBVIOUSLY but it also returns the way its supposed to nice and fast. I checked the one way check valve on th ebooster and since both are brand new it works properly but the moment i reconnect the vacuum line the pedal gets completely soft and goes to the floor and takes about 10 times longer to come back up than before. What is my problem? i would think if i had air int he lines the pedal would suck even without the vacuum assist but it feels fine when just operated manually.... I dont know if i have a faulty booster or if i have a vacuum leak i should be hunting down.......any help would be greatly appreciated.

Two questions for ya:

1. Did you bleed the master cylinder directly before bleeding each brake caliper?

2. When the car is off and you pump the brake pedal, does it eventually get rock hard and you aren't able to push it down at all?
 
If you have a 93 Cobra, why did you get into gutting the prop valve and changing out your booster? Seems like you already had a nice 4 wheel disc system before you started your project.
 
both the booster and mc went bad the mc killed the booster by leaking and i could get the 95 gt one cheaper. i had intended on putting bigger brakes on the car in the future so i put the adjustable proportioning valve in. as for the MC i bled it on the bench with the fittings and hoses that came with it. and when the car is off the first pump goes to the floor then it gets hard again after what i imagine is the vacuum leaving the booster.
