hey everyone I'm a nobee I've been searching through the forums and I haven't been able to find what I was looking for
I have an 03 gt with a K & N filter stock housing and a flowmaster cat back the rest of the car is stock with 37,000+ miles on it. I've had it for about 7,000 miles now and I love it but I just changed the oil again last sunday and put in some of that stp fuel injector cleaner in the tank and recharged the K & N the car ran great all week ab out a tank and a half of mid grade fuel. last night the car crapped out on me and was running like $#!^ I thought it was a fluuuk. I drove today same thing no power what so ever idled rough poor acceration popping out the exhaust and now the idiot light is on I ran the dash diagnostics test and nothing unsuall popped up. I struggled to the gas station and filled up from 1/4 tanmk with super and the car started to run good again but the light was still on. what do you think?
fuel filter, vaccuum leak, o2 sensors, sediments from tank due to cleaner are screwing with me.
any Ideas please help I'll keep searching.

When you re-charged the K&N the additional oil was blown off of it and onto the MAF sensor.

Install a paper filter, clean your MAF, reset the PCM. You will be good to go :nice:

ok I read it and I will do it but one question why after I put the super grade fuel in the car she ran like new again but the light still is on after multiple starts

Quick drying electrical contact cleaner aerosol spray.

Be careful the sensor is fragile and expensive. I have never actually touched mine with a q-tip, not sure if that is actually a good idea...

kilgore seems to have this one under control. but i will chime in on the reason the light is still on after it fan normal.

the cel on our cars stores codes when abnormal stuff comes up. if you fix the problem but don't clear the codes it will take a little bit of driving then the light will turn off on it's own.

BTW i 100 percent agree with killgore on the maf getting oil on it.
