there was a few servie managers that were going to the dragstrips and taking down tag numbers and Vin numbers and then putting the cars(Camaros and Corvettes) on warrany restriction. I'm not sure where this happened an instructor at school (UTI) told us about it. Apparently one of the service managers that did is now working high up in GM now. Don't know if the story is true, but that would suck. That is a di$$ thing to do.
Thats bull**** about them voiding warranties for racing. That is what these cars are made for. Just take your liscence plate off and tape the vin number so the dick head service managers cant do ****.
I have gradually run my car harder and harder on the street, at first I was shifting at 4000rpm now that I have about 800 miles I run it to 5500rpm every no and then.
I took mine to the track after about 300mi. with a 50hp shot of nos and 3500-4000rpm launches I haven't had any problems. I know the clutch took some abuse but that is an excuse to replace it with and upgraded one. My philosophy has always been to lean on it hard when it's new and if it's going to break, it will break then. Just my opinion
