Vehicle decision

well its going to be a daily driver, as well as kind of a family oriented car. I mean I had a carseat in the cobra and it fits just fine. its just the bending in to get it and stuff. but then a durango has more room in it. I love them both. its $6000 for the SVO, and $15000 for the durango. i mean theres like an almost 20 year difference in the vehicles, which I can see why the price for the durango is what it is. the durango gets like 13city/17HW in gas, and I know the SVO will get about 20 city and maybe 30 highway. But the gas mileage really isnt a problem.

Wife has an F250 and I have a civic si as well along with the cobra. But im gonna be selling the civic soon so. so I was thinking since she already has a truck i should get a car, but then if I wanna go on the beach and shes not around or somethin I can use the durango (its a 4x4), but I dunno.

I was thinking the durango as well, but the rarety of the SVO especially in teh condition its in, its almost a steal for that price. But if I traded the Si, id get the durango free with cash back I think because its worth more than the durango. payed 24 and some change for the civic and the other dealer only wants 15 and some change for the durango., but yea it is kind of hard, because I kinda have both people waiting on me. More so the guy with the SVO. How rare is an RT durango?

If you get the SVO, you can bet on it eating more money than the difference to get the durango. It is a 20 year old car, and stuff WILL break in daily driving. As a toy or collectible, it will be fine, but I think it would be a bad decision to daily drive it.
I have a 97GT that I'm daily driving. It fits the bill perfectly. Very reliable, some fun in it, and it isn't costing me a fortune to buy or keep.

i say the svo. you have plenty of cars so family space is not that big of a deal. and the price difference of the two cars will pay for every conceivable thing that can break on the svo.

1. Trade in the Civic.
2. Get the Durango.
3. Put the cash left over toward the SVO.
Are you kidding? Go drive a New SI, those things are Crazy fun, i would buy one in a heartbeat, but i cant afford it
Honestly, i wouldnt buy either.. the Durango is a Dodge.. which makes it unreliable and expensive, the SVO isnt practical for what you want.

Well he's making it sound like he needs something bigger for the family, so the Durango sounded like a good choice. I'm sure the new Si's are a blast, too bad they're ugly as anything.

yea I mean we have a charger and an F250, but I dont driver her vehicles. I mean I wouldnt mind the durango. I wouldnt mind the SVO either. I dont think the Si is ugly. Its pretty quick for a 4 banger honda, I actually kep pace with a 5 liter in it. But anyway.. I dont driver her cars, unless we got a long trip somewhere. thats why I said somethin about a family oriented car for me. I mean I dont have a problem getting the baby in and out of a mustang, or reaching up in a truck (im short) But thats just what I was thinkin about.

And I didnt wanna get both cars because We were using the money for some other stuff too, thats why I was asking as well. I mean the RT was pretty quick for a truck, and I know the SVO is quick. But yea, I have the guys waiting on me for what one im going to get. Im leaning towards the SVO, but then its thinking about the what ifs, had I changed my mind. thanks for the help so far though :nice:

So what would you recommend? Or would I really just be wasting money. The Civic actually is easily maintained and its easy to get the baby in and out of, and he likes it. But there is also a 5 liter coupe in the picture as well. only 5500. But what would you suggest?
