WTF is wrong with Eagle forged cranks?! The pilot bearing is sticking out .1 inch when its fully seated. The difference is in the crank. The stock crank is the right depth, but the eagle is not.

Is it OK to have the pilot bearing sticking out? It looks like there is enough room on the tranny's input shaft for the bearing to ride one.

It'll be fine. If you notice the wear pattern on the input shaft, there is a little room for deflection/alignment. Mine was the same way. Just got my 347 in and its running fine with the pilot bearing sticking out a little. I've got to pull the tranny in a few days, I'll let you know how it looks after having been run a little.

i did the same thing last week. shredded the bearing though. you guys are lifesavers. mine is a 4340 probe crank. so basically as long as the input shaft doesnt bottom out on the bearing, it is ok? i am using a tko600 if that makes any difference.
