My car was like that almost! After I did my antirust treatment I added some extra grease around the engine bay cause I was so paranoid of it rusting, All the dust and dirt sticks right on that ...made it look all dirty and old..also very hard to clean later!:D

But your right that motor does'nt look like it has 38000 original miles on it..lol.
